Community Drumming Wellness Sessions
Location: 449 Eagle St., Newmarket, ON
Date: Saturdays, May 23 & 30; June 6
Organizer: Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association (NACCA)
This interactive experience introduces African drumming, rhythms, and chants, including a hands-on lesson with the djembe drum. Participants will explore the cultural roots of drumming, learn basic techniques, and build rhythms together using African polyrhythms as a metaphor for teamwork, confidence, and connection. $20/session.
