Shaw Percussion Natural Ash Ashiko 12 Inch Drum
The ashiko drum is a tapered cone shape hand drum producing a crisp, dry slap, similar to a conga, and a deep open bass sound. Our ashikos come in both 10” and 12” diameters with a 24” height, making them easily playable while seated. Shaw Percussion ashikos are fitted with a thick, strong water buffalo hide that provides both durability and a distinct tone that differentiates them from other hand drums. We use high-quality, low-stretch Kevlar rope specially designed for our hand drums to not only look attractive but keep your drum in tune. Also available are our wood ashiko stands to make playing your ashikos easier than ever.
