Shaw Percussion Blue Burst Ten-inch Ashiko Drum
The ashiko drum has a tapered cone shape hand drum that produces a crisp, dry slap, similar to a conga, and a round open tone and bass sound. Our ashikos come in both 10” and 12” diameters with a 24” height, making them easily playable while seated. Shaw Percussion ashikos are fitted with a thick, strong water buffalo hide that provides both durability and a distinct tone that differentiates it from other hand drums. We use high-quality, low-stretch Kevlar rope specially designed for our ashikos to not only look attractive but keep your drum in tune. Also available are our wood ashiko stands to make playing your ashikos easier than ever.
