This double-headed frame drum is 14 inches in diameter and contains stainless steel shot sealed between a clear plastic and a dyed goatskin head. The heads and shot work together to create a sound that must be heard to be appreciated.
By holding the drum horizontally and letting the shot roll around inside it, you can create the meditative, soothing sounds of ocean waves. By increasing the movement intensity, you can evoke different moods of the ocean and simulate the crashing surf.
The Ocean Drum can be used for meditation, storytelling, sound therapy, and creating sound effects. It can also be played like a frame drum to create even more unique sounds.
