18 Inch Tar Frame Drum
The Tar frame drum is originally from Turkey but is now found throughout the Middle East and North Africa. The Shaw Percussion 18-inch Tar frame drum is hand-crafted from a steam-bent ash shell made in our shop. The frame features a thumb cutout for more comfortable playing and a convenient magnetic tuner holder. The tuneable goat skin head gives this frame drum deep rich Doum and crisp Tek sounds, and you can easily keep our Tar in tune even in the temperature and humidity extremes of our North American climate.
Please note that the wood grain pattern and drum head colouration for our frame drums is unique. The drum you receive will look similar but not identical to the images shown.
