16 Inch Tar Frame Drum
The Tar, frame drum is originally from Turkey, but now can be found throughout the Middle East and North Africa. The Shaw Percussion 16-inch Tar frame drum is crafted from a steam-bent ash shell made in our shop. The frame features a thumb cutout for more comfortable playing and includes a hex key tuner. The tuneable goat skin head gives this frame drum deep rich Doum and crisp Tek sounds and you can easily keep the Tar in tune even in the temperature and humidity extremes of our North American climate.
Please note, the natural wood grain pattern and head colouration for each of our frame drums is unique. The drum you receive will be similar but not identical to the images shown.
